Village Park to the Pole Farm

Distance (roundtrip): 2.5 miles
Surface: Mostly paved, some stone dust
Parking: Village Park (several lots) and parking lot at the corner of Keefe
Road and Cold Soil Road.

Walk or bike seamlessly from Lawrence Township’s Village Park off Bergen Street to the Pole Farm in Mercer Meadows Park. This family-friendly route is about 2.5 miles round-trip and includes a playground, a fitness area, and restrooms. The Pole Farm, just off Keefe Road, gets its name from the radio antennas and tall timber poles that AT&T installed to handle phone calls to Europe and, later, Latin America from the 1920s to 1970s.

Reward everyone with ice cream, pizza, sweets or other food and drink along Main Street in Lawrence, about a half-mile from Village Park.
