This Friday, May 31, the Lawrence Hopewell Trail Board of Trustees will welcome county and local government officials, corporate sponsors, community leaders, and trail enthusiasts at the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of a new .6 mile segment of the LHT.
This 3170-foot segment runs through the ETS campus connecting the Maya Drive and Carson Road Woods segments to Province Line Road. The new segment brings the total length of the LHT on ETS’s Rosedale campus to 2.5 miles. This segment is critical to the completion of the LHT because it will connect with parts of the trail to be built north of the ETS campus. The new segment was designed and constructed by ETS.
The new segment marks the completion of 19.5 miles of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail’s planned 22-plus mile bicycle and pedestrian trail and transportation corridor through Lawrence and Hopewell Townships in Mercer County. This unique community-led trail is now 89 percent complete.
