LHT Volunteers 2004

Bristol-Myers Squibb hosted an LHT update meeting and reception for volunteers. After hearing brief updates from committee chairs, volunteers enjoyed appetizers and drinks while viewing a slide show of the recent East Coast Greenway bike tour.

Co-chair Becky Taylor moderated the evening and thanked the many volunteers for their tireless efforts.

Leslie Floyd summarized recent Mercer County planning activities, especially routing considerations through Northwest Mercer Park.

Bay Weber, Property Manager at the SBMWA, discussed the current plans for the Watershed segment of the trail in preparation for a February planning board meeting.

Jeri Bogan Zielinski, Chair of the Design & Route Committee, requested feedback on detailed routing alternatives that have been suggested for several sections of the trail.

A consultant outlined some of the recommended tasks ahead to aid in the determination of a final routing.

Michael & Anne Kruimer presented a slide show of their bike trek down the East Coast Greenway from Maine to Florida.

Lawrence Township Manager Bill Guhl and Lawrence Mayor-elect Pam Mount voiced ongoing support for the trail.

Hank Segal, a resident biking enthusiast and member of the Princeton Freewheelers, discusses the trail with Co-chair Eleanor Horne.
