Mount Rose Distillery

LHT Mt Rose Distillery SMWC

The Mount Rose Distillery segment of the LHT will begin on the north side of Moores Mill Mount Rose Road across from Weldon Way. The future route of the LHT will continue north along a tree lined meadow, then turn slightly northeast to join the existing short spur of paved trail in the D&R Greenway’s Hillman Property. A signed cross-walk leads to the east side of Pennington Rocky Hill Road near Bailey Court. The LHT continues as an off-road path along Pennington Rocky Hill Road passing the Whiskey House, which served as the office building for an applejack distillery that operated in the mid-19th century. Beyond the Whiskey House the LHT turns into the forest on paved path that meanders through the Mount Rose Preserve until reaching Carter Road.

While design and construction are pending, trail users can travel Moores Mill Mount Rose Road and Pennington Rocky Hill Road to connect the existing trail between Weldon Way and Bailey Court.
