Ruth joined the LHT board in 2020 after initially becoming involved with the Trail by supporting the LHT PR and Events Committee in 2019. Ruth contributes to discussions about ways to increase bike friendly accessibility and leads bike rides for visitors to the LHT. Ruth currently serves on the Lawrence Hopewell Trail Community Outreach Committee, helping to bring the Trail’s events and programs to life.
Ruth had a career as a Speech/Language Pathologist in private practice before founding TheaterToGo in 1992, an immersive theater company producing comedy murder mysteries, full-length plays, and original works.
Ruth holds her MS in Speech/Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin. She serves on the Advisory Committee of the Kelsey Theatre in West Windsor, where her organization, TheaterToGo has staged many of its productions.
An avid cyclist, Ruth discovered the LHT while riding through the developing Pole Farm section and has considered the LHT her happy place ever since. As the LHT Loop grew she enjoyed exploring each segment on her bike and learning about the history on the trail. She loves serving as a trail ambassador, leading cycling groups from outside the area to explore the LHT and championing bike-friendly accessibility for the whole trail community.
