Section 9 – Mercer Meadows County Park – Hunt House to Rosedale

Description: The entire 1,000+ acre park, formerly known as Mercer County Park Northwest has  a new look. The LHT will connect many sections of the new park but there will also be other trails and specific areas highlighting the parks historic telecommunications, industrial and agricultural uses as well as its many spectacular natural areas. Construction for Phase 3, which will connect the Hunt House to Rosedale Lake will be finished in the spring of 2013.

This section of the LHT continues north and passes the historic 1760 Hunt House at Blackwell Road and then through heavily wooded sections to the pond and Rosedale Lake, meandering through parkland to Federal City Road in Hopewell Township, NJ. The restored and refurbished Hunt House is the home of the Mercer County Parks Commission as well and the offices of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail.
