Bike Ride on LHT success!!!
We had a great Saturday afternoon ride and cycling love in!
The great group from the West Windsor Bike and Pedestrian Alliance (Sylvia and Jerry) organized a gang of 60 riders of all ages to make it down the DR Canal to the LHT junction at the Brearley House.
Biking supporters at Terhune Orchards supplied some of their product.
LHT board member and Lawrence Historical Society VP Dennis Waters, provided tours and history of the Brearley House.
Princeton Freewheelers leader Mike rallied riders for checking out other routes with the support and safety of group rides. …
And the Princeton Joint Pedestrian Bicycle Alliance Committee was also there to explain about the SHARROWS you see on Princeton streets. And of course, the LHT was there to hand out new maps and talk about the construction of a few sections beginning this month, and the imminent completion of the trail around the lakes in Mercer Meadows and other highlights.
Some riders even took the detour to further explore the LHT on Lewisville Road and the new Dyson Tract Park section off of Princeton Pike.
Thanks to everyone for coming out — Enjoy the ride
